For information, please note that this is a hotfix for some issues found in the previous update, and does not bring any new features or new content. The developers have also fixed an issue that could reward a low reputation in Dares of Eternity.

Here are the official patch notes for Destiny 2 Update 2.40 that is now rolling out to all the supported platforms of the game:
ACTIVITIES
DARES OF ETERNITY
- Fixed an issue causing less Reputation to be rewarded in Dares of Eternity than intended.
GAMEPLAY AND INVESTMENT
WEAPONS
- Fixed an issue where Hand Cannons would have an empty magazine when first entering into an activity.
ABILITIES
- Fixed an issue where the Frontal Assault buff was not reliably being added to the player if their charged melee killed the target.
