Developers officially revealed the new future features of the Caves and Cliffs update during the Minecon 2020 live event, including cave and mountain biomes, world generation modifications, monsters, copper, and numerous blocks/items. Mojang broke the release into two parts due to working from home and technical challenges with world generation. New amethyst geodes, creatures, blocks, and objects are featured in the first half of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update, while new biomes and world creation tweaks are featured in the second. Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 1 was completed on time and is now available for download on all platforms.
How to download 1.17 Cave Update?
On Tuesday, June 8th, Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 1 will be released. Both Bedrock and Java Edition will receive the upgrade. Pocket Edition gamers on Android will be able to download the most recent version of the APK from Google PlayStore. Launch the game and follow the steps given below,
- Open the Google PlayStore on your device.
- Search for Minecraft on the PlayStore.
- Click on the ‘Update’ button to start the download.

New Block is added in this version of minecraft which is also known as drpleaf.

New mob: Goats
In this version, many new mobs are added like new goats, etc. which will appear in the cliff area of Minecraft.
