The blueprint for the future politics of BJP in Uttar Pradesh has been almost decided in Delhi. In the Delhi meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, it has been decided to contest the 2022 UP assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A more important decision can be assumed that in the elections to be held in UP and other five states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will no longer be the face.
The Sangh believes that keeping Prime Minister Modi’s face in front of the regional leaders has damaged his image. Opponents unnecessarily target them. The Sangh is not ready to alienate any leader or leave with resentment. Now Yogi has to come true to this. There is also a discussion on bringing the Sharad Pawar family together in Maharashtra.
Mamata vs Modi in Bengal damage
These decisions have been taken in the presence of Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabole in the meeting of RSS in Delhi. Sources say that in this meeting serious contemplation and review was done regarding the elections in West Bengal. Sangh leaders believe that Mamata vs Modi’s strategy in West Bengal assembly elections did harm.
More important than losing the election in this is that the political opponents got the opportunity to attack Prime Minister Modi again and again. This damages their image. Earlier also this strategy did not work against Nitish Kumar in the 2015 assembly elections in Bihar and then against Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi assembly elections.
Muslim voter big factor in UP
Along with this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Congress adopted a strategy to make Modi’s image anti-Muslim. This united the Muslim voters and more than 70% of the Muslims voted for the Trinamool Congress, unilaterally making the election results one-sided.
After West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh also has a substantial Muslim population and they can influence election results in about 75 seats. Samajwadi Party and Congress can again be successful in uniting Muslims by making Modi the face in UP too.
so trust yogi
If sources are to be believed, it was told in the meeting that the image of Yogi, especially in eastern Uttar Pradesh, is not anti-Muslim and the Gorakhnath temple is trusted among Muslims and backward areas in the areas connected with Gorakhpur. Before becoming the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, as the Mahant of the temple, has been solving the disputes of the local Muslims sitting in the temple and helping them. Most of the shops in the Khichdi fair held in the temple on Makar Sankranti belong to Muslim businessmen.
According to sources, another important thing that has been seriously considered is that this time in the UP assembly elections, BJP should field Muslim candidates as well. Due to this, opponents will not get a chance to create an anti-Muslim image. The party has to take the final decision on this. In the last election, BJP did not give ticket to a single Muslim candidate.
No fight between Modi-Yogi
According to a senior RSS leader, even if you do not believe, it is true that there is no dispute between Modi-Yogi and the reason for removing Modi’s photo from the Twitter account or poster of UP BJP is to fight the assembly elections with Yogi’s face. It’s the decision. Both the leaders have been asked to work together and strengthen this image. Therefore, apart from Yogi Adityanath, now UP BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma will be seen on the poster of UP.
Perhaps that is why on Monday evening, in view of Prime Minister Modi’s message to the nation, the photo of Yogi has been released. The Chief Minister has thanked Prime Minister Modi for the decision of the Center to make the vaccine free. However, still the BJP leadership has to take the final decision whether it wants to go to the polls with a collective leadership.
Reasons to start free vaccination from June 21
Prime Minister Modi announced to start the scheme of making the vaccine free from June 21 and remembered that day as International Yoga Day, but the date of June 21 is special for the Sangh and the BJP for another big reason. The first and founder of the Sangh, Sarsanghchalak, Dr. Hedgewar’s death anniversary also falls on June 21.
Prime Minister Modi has announced to continue the poor ration scheme till Deepawali for the time being, so that it is not seen by linking it with the assembly elections, but it is quite possible that it will be extended again for some more time later. Home Minister Amit Shah has been entrusted with the planning and implementation of 200 crore vaccine doses by December this year.
Sangh took over the command, Dattatreya Hoshbole will stay in Lucknow
In the two-day meeting, the Sarsanghchalak stayed for only one day and he returned from Nagpur to Delhi and then returned to Nagpur. Decisions have also been taken on the in-charge and other responsibilities of the regional headquarters in this meeting of the union. The most important in this is that Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabole’s headquarters will be Lucknow instead of Nagpur. Former Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi will look after the work of coordination between Prime Minister Modi and Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat and most likely stay in Delhi. The Sarsanghchalak will remain in Nagpur. Sahasarkaryawah Dr Manmohan Vaidya has been given Bhopal Headquarters.
