WWE Rumours – WWE preparing to return to Saudi Arabia, backstage report: WWE reportedly plans to return to Saudi Arabia and may have a show in the Middle Eastern country by the end of 2021 WWE had entered into an agreement with the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia to host two WWE shows per year for 10 years. The company has so far hosted five shows in Saudi Arabia, the last of which was Super Showdown which took place in February 2020.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE sources have told him they will be “returning to Saudi Arabia this soon,” although the company has yet to announce the dates.
“With the world starting to open up and World Wrestling Entertainment touring again, we have been asked by several readers when the company can reschedule the event in Saudi Arabia. We have been told by company sources that the initial expectation is that they will eventually return to Saudi Arabia, but an official date is yet to be locked. Hopefully they will do an event there before the end of the year.”
WWE currently has three pay-per-views. Hell in a Cell next week, Money in the Bank in July and SummerSlam in August. At the same time, WWE can announce the tour of Saudi Arah.
WWE Pay-Per-View in Saudi Arabia
WWE visited Saudi Arabia in 2018 for the Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel. This was followed by Super Showdown and Crown Jewel in 2019 and Super Showdown in 2020. Since then, WWE has not been able to organize any event in Saudi Arabia this year. But soon WWE may return to Saudi Arabia.
