WWE NXT Takeover Results – Karrion Kross retains the NXT Championship, defeats all four Superstars in Fatal-5-Way: NXT Takeover: In Your House Main Event of the NXT Championship Today 5 Superstars showed their mettle in a Fatal 5-Way Match. But Carrion Cross once again proved himself to beat all odds and was completely successful in retaining the NXT Championship.

The five superstars showed their strength

The Fatal 5-Way Match was tonight’s showpiece event. Early in the match, Cole went up against his former teammate O’Reilly, while Dunne went behind Gargano and Cross waited for his first opponent. But Cross’ wait was soon over and he began a fight with bruiserweight Pete Dunne. High-flying moves along with power moves and jackfruit kicks kept everyone’s interest in the match.

After Dunne, O’Reilly reached the feet of Cross, but a roundhouse kick knocked O’Reilly down. But still O’Reilly didn’t fall down and locked Cross in a submission, but Champion hit a suplex to send him out of the ring.

Gargano was ready for his turn on the cross, but Champion stunned him with his tackle. Cole then came to face Cross, who started off with a kick in Cross’s face and he slapped Champion a bit, and it ended. He ended with Enjugiri. It was only when Cole had a hold on the match that Dunne pulled him to the middle of the apron and O’Reilly, Dunne, Gargano attacked together to hold him. Shortly after that, Cross had time to get back to normal and started slamming everyone from the German suplex.

Pete Dunne looked most impressive in the match

Bruiserweight Pete Dunne was highly influential throughout the match. He was responding to Cross’s cunning moves with his uncanny fighting skills. Dunne also broke Cross’s fingers. He troubled Cross with a triangle choke until Gargano and Cole broke the submission.

Cross was briefly dismissed twice during the match. He was slammed first on the set door by Gargano and then by Dunne and then on the announce table by O’Reilly & Cole. After Cross was out, the remaining four contestants went into the ring and started attacking each other fiercely. But not a single competitor was able to achieve the pinfall.

In the final moments of the match, O’Reilly went for a heel hook on Cole. But just when it looked like Cole was losing his strength and was going to tap, Cross caught O’Reilly into a sleeper hold. O’Reilly was unable to get out of the grip and in the end Carrion Cross won the match to retain his title. After the match, Scarlett entered the ring and celebrated the victory with a cross.
