21-year-old freestyle wrestler has signed a NIL deal with the company that gives him the privilege of attending the University of Minnesota for his senior year and defending the Division I National Championship in heavyweight . This is the first time that WWE has offered such a deal to anyone.

Ever since Gable Stevenson won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and openly discussed his fantasy for WWE, there have been rumors that the NCAA wrestling champion might be signing some sort of deal with WWE. WWE also issued a statement saying, “WWE has signed Olympic gold medalist and current NCAA wrestling champion Gable Stevenson to an exclusive deal. In the company’s first NIL deal, Stevenson will join the WWE roster while defending his NCAA title for the University of Minnesota.

The Tokyo Olympic gold medalist also took to Twitter to express her excitement about joining the company. He wrote,

“Childhood dream fulfilled.. I have officially signed with @WWE!!! Thank you for this opportunity!! Let’s get to work [flexed biceps emoji]”

Gable’s younger brother Bobby Stevenson has also signed up with the company. His younger brother has recently joined the WWE Performance Center as a new talent and now both the brothers will work under one roof.

Stevenson is eager to find his footing in WWE. He is currently being compared with former WWE Superstar and 1996 Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle. Because Gable has also followed the path of Kurt Angle. But Gable doesn’t like it at all. Gable Stevenson mentioned in one of his tweets today,
