World of Warcraft (WoW) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment. Are WoW Servers Down?
Note: Blizzard has confirmed scheduled maintenance for WoW servers. Maintenance is due this Tuesday, May 17th, 2022. Here's this week's maintenance schedule:
- Shadowlands – starts at 7 AM PDT, and ends at 8 AM PDT.
- The Burning Crusade Classic – starts at 7 AM PDT, and ends at 8 AM PDT.
- WoW Classic – starts at 7 AM PDT, and ends at 8 AM PDT.
As we have learned, Shadowlands, WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic will not be available to play at this time. Luckily, it's only expected to last about an hour, so you won't feel too much discomfort.

For information, let us tell you that the best way to stay about any planned maintenance or updates is via the official Blizzard Customer Support pages. There are two Blizzard CS Twitter accounts. One for the Americas, and one for Europe, each covering their respective regions. The official Battle.net support page also informs players about the current maintenance schedule.
