Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Release Date

Fortnite is an online video game developed by Epic Games and released in 2017. It is available in three distinct game mode versions that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine: Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative hybrid-tower defense-shooter-survival game for up to four players to fight off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with traps and fortifications they can build; Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game in which up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing; and Fortnite Creative, in which players are given complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas. Save the World and Battle Royale were released in 2017 as early access titles, while Creative was released on December 6, 2018. While the Save the World and Creative versions have been successful for Epic Games, Fortnite Battle Royale in particular became an overwhelming success. Chapter 3: Season 1, also known as Season 19, is the nineteenth season of Fortnite: Battle Royale and the first season of Chapter 3. The season started at 10:00 AM (EST) after the downtime Float To Artemis concluded taking place after Chapter 2: Season 8's live event The End (Chapter 2) had concluded. It started on December 5th, 2021 and will end on March 19th, 2022.

According to Epic Games, we still have about two massive updates before Season 2 will launch. However, players want to know the exact release date for it. While no official dates have been given, we can speculate based on the information provided to us. With that said, let’s dive right in and take a look at the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 release date.

Fortnite Season 2 Release Date for Chapter 3

we can assume that it will end on March 19, 2022. This is because the battle pass will be over by then and the season ends when that happens.

Now, going by previous patterns, Epic usually launches the new season on a Tuesday. According to that, the next Tuesday after Season 1 ends will be on March 22, 2022. However, keep in mind that delays could happen at any time as they did with the start of Chapter 3. This Chapter launched on a Sunday due to slight delays.

Since we haven’t seen delays in quite some time, we can assume that March 22, 2022, is the release date for Fornite Chapter 3 Season 2. There will be a few updates before that so let’s see what happens. We will keep you updated as we get more information and as we approach the Season 2 date.

As for the theme of the season, we are not quite sure just yet. However, there have been tons of Star Wars references over the map in the past few days. This might either be a part of the Season 2 theme or it might be a separate event in itself. Only time will tell.

How will Chapter 3 Season 1 End?

According to some leaks, the Imagined Order (IO) will once again launch an attack on the map. This might be how Season 1 ends. Another leak suggests that a vehicle with mounted turrets will appear on the map that the players will be able to use.

While this can be a part of the battle royale vehicles, we think that it will be a part of an event. Take all of this with a grain of salt since nothing has been confirmed as of yet. If the leaks are something to go by, the season might end on March 20. There will be a downtime of two days before the next season starts. This goes hand in hand with how Epic has been launching previous seasons as well.
