Warface Origins Update Patch Notes
Here are the official patch notes for Warface Origins Update currently rolling out on all supported platforms:
BATTLE PASS
The Battle Pass system has been significantly redesigned. We have changed the interface, key mechanics, reworked tasks and rewards as well as integrated special contracts. Learn more about it in a dedicated publication.
MODIFICATIONS
The new modification system will not be available right after the update. We will inform you as soon as you can try them out. Learn more about the new feature in a dedicated publication.
SUREFIRE MGX
The new assault rifle is a machine gun modification. The arm boasts a spacious magazine, which is enough to deal with several enemies (even if you shoot at the body). Other advantages include high damage and minimal damage, increased damage multipliers, weak recoil, and a wide range of available attachments. In the game, the weapon belongs to machine guns and counts for the corresponding tasks.
The golden version has an improved rate of fire, a larger magazine and takes more ammunition. It also yields a unique stripe for eliminating opponents. The regular version of the weapon is already available in the Seasonal Battle Pass Store. We will tell you more about the ways of obtaining the golden version later.
COBRAY STRIKER SPECIAL
The Cobray Striker Special is a modified version of the weapon you are well familiar with. In addition to the reworked looks, the Special version has its own unique set of specifications. Compared to the regular version, this shotgun boasts more damage, increased damage multipliers to the limbs, high accuracy and more comfortable recoil. In terms of its performance, the model is close to the Kalashnikov MP-155 Ultima but the Cobray Striker Special offers higher rate of fire, minimum damage and magazine capacity.
The regular version of the weapon is already available in the Seasonal Battle Pass Store. In addition, you can purchase Random Boxes with this arm in the game shop.
QUARTER CIRCLE 10 SMG CUSTOM
This is a submachine gun with the highest rate of fire. It will stuff your opponents with lead in no time. Donât forget to keep an eye on the magazine counter â cartridges are spent quickly! In addition, the submachine gun offers high damage and increased damage multipliers to the limbs offset by the drop in damage at a distance and modest hip fire aiming speed.
Its golden version sports a better rate of fire, a larger magazine and more ammunition. It also yields a unique stripe for eliminating opponents. The regular version of the weapon is already available in the Seasonal Battle Pass Store. We will tell you more about the ways of obtaining the golden version later.
ALPINE SPECIAL
The Alpine Special is a special version of the familiar bolt-action rifle. Compared to its regular version, the Alpine Special will delight you with increased damage and multipliers, as well as a high rate of fire and cool attachments: a bipod, a quick zoom scope and an integrated silencer that does not reduce damage.
The regular version of the weapon is already available in the Seasonal Battle Pass Store. In addition, you can purchase Random Boxes with this arm in the game shop.

OPTIMIZING THE RENDERING OF OBJECTS IN THE VISIBILITY RANGE
A new mechanism has been introduced into the gameplay. It will optimize the load on playersâ computers by freeing up CPU resources. This will provide an increase in the overall performance. We call this technology Occlusion Culling.
How does it work?
- Previously, while loading a battle, absolutely all objects on the map were loaded, even those that were hidden from the playerâs view.
- Now the system loads only those in-game objects that are in the playerâs field of view.
- Anything behind a wall or behind the player (i.e., out of sight) will be loaded the moment the player gets close to objects or looks at them.
- Objects that are not visible will not be loaded at all.
What is the difference between the new mechanics and the old configuration?
Previously, loading all in-game objects at once required the PC to allocate significant capacities. Now, due to selective loading, computer resources will be consumed more economically, which will have a positive effect on the gameplay.
Learn more about the mechanics in the video.
DISCONTINUING SUPPORT FOR DIRECTX 9
The current version of the game client no longer supports DirectX 9. Supporting this outdated technology requires significant resources while the number of players who are forced to use DirectX 9 is only 0.22% (their equipment does not allow them to switch to modern technology). This transition will allow us to fully employ the capabilities of modern GPUs to improve quality and performance, as well as eliminate a number of issues with DirectX 9.
REWORKED PVP MAPS
The visuals of the âHangarâ, âDockâ and âAirbaseâ maps have been significantly redesigned. Totally new looks await you. Try out the reworked maps and share your impressions!
