Telugu hit movie Uppena starring Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty has recently hit theatres and is performing extremely well at the box office. However, the movie has leaked online on piracy site Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Telegram and many others. The movie is available as a free HD download on piracy sites.

Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty played with a lot of perfection. The film is being co-financed by Sukumar, Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, under their respective banners Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers.
The online streaming giant Netflix has also announced that the film will be released on the OTT platform soon, irritating the distributors.
However, this isn’t the first time the piracy website has leaked a movie or show. Previously, movies and shows were like Lahore Confidential, Pudhu Kaalai, Sufiyum Sujatayum, AK vs AK, Laxmii, Ashram 2, Ludo, Chhalaang, Dark, Rasbhari, Bulbbul, Paatal Lok, Aarya, Penguin, Gulabo Sitabo, Chintu Ka Birthday, Choked, Ratkanchal, Ghoomketu, Pay, Illegal, Family Man, The Raikar Case, Hundred, Extraction, Hasmukh, Money Heist, The Lion King, Frozen 2 among other things, became the target of the piracy sites.
Several strict actions have been taken against the site in the past, but it has been found that the team behind the site with a new domain appears every time the existing Tamilrockers site is blocked. When they are banned, they take a new domain and run the illegal versions of the movies. In the case of the major cinema releases, Tamilrockers have been known to leak the movies just a few hours after the movies hit the screens.
