The last update on May 3, 2021: At the time of writing, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has not yet been renewed for a second season. Neither Manga publisher Square Enix, animation studio Lerche nor Funimation has confirmed the second season. We can only speculate right now. We can look at the popularity and source material adequacy to see if the anime will have a second season. There does not seem to be any problem in terms of popularity, and the ratings of the series are quite sufficient. Everything was good except disc sales. Disc sales of the anime were around 1500. The manga series, which started to be published in 2014, is published in Japan by Square Enix. Yen Press publishes the English translation of the series. The good news is that the manga is still ongoing. Sales of the manga series seem strong, and the cumulative circulation has already exceeded 2 million last year. The last volume of the manga, which consists of 15 volumes in total, has not yet been translated into English, but it was published on April 27, 2021, in Japan.
WHEN IS THE RELEASE DATE OF SEASON 2?
The anime is a faithful adaptation of a total of 15 published original manga of Iro Aida. Since the first season covers 7 volumes of the manga, there is enough script if the producers will use 7 volumes again.
