Horizon Forbidden West is an action role-playing video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. A sequel to 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, it is a single-player open world game set in a post-apocalyptic version of the western United States. The player must travel and complete missions using survival skills, melee attacks, and long-distance weapons in a world overrun by a deadly plague, hostile machine creatures, and other survivors. There are two adjacent collectable quests, Vista Point: The Daunt and the Relic Ruins: The Daunt they can complete. This guide will detail how to find the Vista Point and complete the Relic Ruins in Horizon Forbidden West.

If we talk about The Daunt then it is a playable area which is located on the western edge of the Sundam area near Forbidden West. The vista point tower locating in this area can be found under a destroyed footbridge between a set of campsites near the Charger Mount station.

Horizon Forbidden West Relic Ruins (Locations)

For information, let us tell you that there are a total of 9 places for relic ruins in Horizon Forbidden West. Once you've completed the puzzle, you can collect these collectibles. While these puzzle ruins can be a pain to deal with, they can also carry some good reputation. To open these runes you'll need a key module and door code, both of which can also be found in the ruins.

You must be ready to solve a lot of problems to get to the ruins. These ruins come in all shapes and sizes, some requiring the ability to destroy flames of fire while some require the ability to destroy metal flowers. It is better to attempt these ruins after getting these two powers.

Following the footpath will lead players to the satellite tower, which they can scan using the Focus ability. This will bring up a silhouette image from the past; the location is nearby the tower.

The only clue players will be given is that the building is positioned against the cliff and near a bridge. Navigate left alongside the riverbank from the tower's location until you spot remnants of a bridge.

Then climb onto the bridge and, using your Focus once again, scan the area to fit the silhouette against the site to complete the Vista Point task and earn 1500 XP.

The silhouette image from the Vista Point is connected to the Relic Ruins quest, which you can complete following this collectable quest.

The Daunt can be found at the south of Chainscrape. Here is how you can solve it fast and simple:

  • Start in the north of the ruins and try to locate a crate. You can use the pullcaster to pull it inside the building. This crate can be used to climb up to the ledge to reach the glowing door.
  • Use the pullcaster on the box and the pillar.
  • In the new room, scan the datapoint, the revealed color code is 1705.
  • Use the dropped crate as a platform to jump and follow the yellow indicators till you reach the top.
  • Reach the new room and use the pullcaster to break the wall. Then head to the underground tunnel.
  • Use your pullcaster again in order to open the tunnel. Drag the crate with you.
  • Use the crate to climb the walls and reach the top.
