In our Elden Ring Sleeping Dragon Location & Related Quest guide, we’re going to be discussing the matter of the gigantic, sleeping dragon just outside Fort Faroth. For one, we’ll show you where to find it, and then, we’re going to explain whether or not you should kill it. The rewards are substantial, but you don’t wanna mess up any potential future quest line, right? So, without further ado, let’s dive in. Elden Ring Sleeping Dragon Location & Related Quest
Elden Ring Sleeping Dragon Location
If we talk about the location of the sleeping dragon, then it is north of Fort Froth. It is a castle to the east of Dragonbarrow in the Land of Caled. We have marked the location in the screenshot above for your convenience. Near the palace, there is a huge sleeping dragon, which when attacked does not move. It is believed that its children are fiercely protecting it, but the giant is in a dormant state. It still takes a long time to kill the thing (using a weapon that causes bleed buildup like a hookclaw helps speed up the process), but it will never back down. In other words, many trucks from the Runes are just lying there. But it seems wrong to attack such a peaceful creature, which makes people believe that they should not play with it. Maybe it's actually part of a search line, and if it's not there, you'll be stuck. But is it so? Well…
Elden Ring Sleeping Dragon Related Quest
For information, let us tell you that there is no quest related to the sleeping dragon in Elden Ring. In fact, it seems that its death is kinda inevitable. Why? Because you get an Incantation after slaying it, which you need to get an achievement; specifically the one where you collect all Legendary Incantations and Sorceries. When the dragon is dead, you’ll get the message that “A new draconic power is available at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.” Not to mention the obscene amount of Runes that you can get, especially if you have the Gold Scarab equipped and use the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot just before delivering the killing blow. Oh, it also drops a Dragon Heart, of course. So, yeah; it might feel wrong to slay the sleeping beast, but we’re pretty sure you can do it consequence-free.
