I brings in the much-anticipated Echos of DLC that adds new content to the game along with various performance improvements and optimizations.

You are ready with data pack and Wi-Fi to download this patch. Notably, the update will be available globally in a few hours, with release times varying by region. Outer Wilds Patch Notes: Update 1.08 (Echoes of the Eye DLC)

Unfortunately, patch notes for the update are not available just yet. However, we do know that the Echoes of the Eye DLC will be bringing in tons of new content to the game alongside various performance improvements and bug fixes.
