OnePlus Nord 2 5G launched, equipped with features like 50MP camera and 65W fast charging


OnePlus Nord 2 gets power from MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI 5G processor. This is the first OnePlus phone in India to replace Qualcomm with a MediaTek chip.

OnePlus has today launched a new Nord smartphone in India along with the OnePlus Buds Pro. OnePlus Nord 2 is the successor to the company’s original Nord device launched last year. It comes with a 50MP back camera, 32MP front camera, and a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. This device is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chip.

OnePlus Nord 2 will be sold in the country on Amazon’s India website. Its starting price is Rs 27,999. Let’s take a look at its specifications and other details.

OnePlus Nord 2 price, availability

OnePlus Nord 2 will come in three RAM + storage models – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The phone will start from Rs 27,999 in India. The device will be available in three colors – Gray Sierra, Blue Haze and Green Wood.

Early access will start on July 26 for OnePlus Red Cable Club members and Amazon Prime members. The phone’s open sale will start from July 28. OnePlus Buds Pro India price and sale date are yet to come.

OnePlus Nord 2 specifications

OnePlus Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED P3 display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. This device runs on OxygenOS skin built on Android 11. The device gets power from MediaTek Dimension 1200-AI 5G processor. This is the first OnePlus phone in India to replace Qualcomm with a MediaTek chip.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G packs a 4500mAh battery and supports 65W warp charging. The phone supports up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Talking about the camera, there are three cameras on the back of this phone, out of which the main lens is 50MP Sony IMX166 sensor. The second camera is an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and the third is a 2MP mono-lens. There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor on the front for selfie and video calling.

The new phone from OnePlus, like last year’s Nord device, supports an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has support for dual stereo speakers and there is also an alert slider on the side.
