Monster Hunter Stories 2 Demo Release Date

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin won’t be available until July 9, but gamers will be able to get a head start with the trial version, which will be available on June 25. Even better, your progress in this sample will be carried over to the full game, but we don’t know how large the demo will be. The free demo was announced during Capcom’s E3 2021 preview, and it’s just one of the new details we’ve heard about Monster Hunter Stories 2. Before the announcement, Capcom released a fresh new story trailer, which is the most in-depth look at the game so far, revealing elements of the fighting system and, maybe most significantly, the storyline.

Capcom will launch a demo for Monster Hunter Stories 2 on June 25, 2021 uniquely on Switch. Players who try out the demo will be able to transfer their saves to the full game, keeping their progress. Meaning the demo should have a lot of content to keep you occupied. We should soon hear about the exact release time of the demo on Twitter. The demo will onlybe coming to Steam with the game’s release.

Capcom also revealed the Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise will be added through a free DLC update in Stories 2Monster Hunter Rise will also add content from Stories 2.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a spinoff of the series, and is a traditional JRPG, rather than an action game akin to a constant boss rush. It’s different but similar, and has its own Monster Hunter lore.

Personally speaking, I believe Monster Hunter Stories initially started as a bait series in order to bring in more players, more younger players especially, into the main Monster Hunter series. Over the time, it looks like Capcom is now planning to make with Stories 2 a fully ambitious and polished game. Funnily, it feels like what Level-5 could do with a series like Ni no Kuni, but in much better and exciting form. I’m definitely looking forward to the release of Stories 2.

Overall, the Monster Hunter segment of the E3 Capcom showcase had no surprise. Monster Hunter Rise had two demos before its release, and seems like Capcom will keep going with that strategy with the series in the future.

What can we expect in Monster Hunter Stories 2?

The premise appears to be that you play Red, a hunter who has inherited a newborn Rathalos who is supposed to bring about some type of apocalypse. The capacity to develop connections with creatures without slaughtering and skinning them for fancy armor is a significant element in the tale. The other characters in the narrative don’t think it’s a good idea to be friends with monsters. It’s essentially the plot of Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragon, which I’m OK with because that movie is fantastic.

What is the expected plot of Monster Hunter Stories 2?

The narrative begins with the worldwide disappearance of Rathalos. The player character, a descendent of the famous Rider named Red, has a fatal meeting with Ena, a white-haired wyvern girl who has been entrusted with a Rathalos egg. The egg hatches a flightless Rathalos with tiny black wings, which is supposed to bring devastation to the earth in time.
