The first update if you're looking for an update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2023 is here. But this is not a major update. This includes only minor playlist and map changes, including the removal of the Shipment 24/7 playlist. In this article we will tell you why shipment is removed from MW2 and when it will return.
Modern Warfare 2 Shipment 24/7 Gone, When Will It Return?
So let's move on to the question of whether the MW2 shipment is gone. The answer is yes, the developers have now confirmed that there is a new 24/7 playlist with this update - Shoot House 24/7 is back! Like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, the developers of Infinity Ward are choosing to juggle between these two playlists - Shoot House 24/7 and Shipment 24/7. And now it's time for The Shoot House to be in rotation 24/7 playlist.
This is a disappointment for those who found Shipment to be the perfect map for grinding camos. Thus, if you're already missing your rightful place to work on the gold and platinum cameos, you're probably wondering when the playlist will return in MW2. Here’s what we know.
When Will MW2 Shipment 24/7 Come Back?
As far as I understand the developers follow the same concept as they did in MW2 where they have regularly rotated two playlists. The MW2 Shipment 24/7 Playlist was added on December 21, 2023, a week after the Shipment map was added to the game. This means that the playlist has been in game for ~20 days. And now it has been replaced by Shoot House 24/7. We expect MW2 shipments of 24/7 Playlists to return around February 1st, 2023, coinciding with the start of MW2 Season 2.
As I guess the developers will most likely introduce a shoot the ship type of playlist. This will combine both maps into one 24/7 playlist. This is something they have already done in COD MW 2019. And seeing as they're following similar patterns, we expect similar United 24/7 playlists to appear in MW2. With that said, you now know why MW2 shipments are gone 24/7 and when it will likely return.
