For information, let us tell you that there are several penalties for leaving the kingdom in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, all connected to activities you would normally do within a kingdom. For this, the first thing you have to note is that you will only become aware of these penalties once you join a new kingdom. You won’t be able to check in, donate, cook at the restaurant, do quests, go to the theater, or buy stuff from the general store until the next daily kingdom reset (6 AM UTC). The more steep penalties for leaving a kingdom in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds include blocking you from the auction house, achievements and Relic Wars. These should unlock the following Monday after that daily reset.

Here's the thing and you should know that the harshest punishments we know of are with Kingdom Defense and Kingdom Dungeons. These seem to be completely off the board for seven days. Especially if there’s an event that requires you to do stuff that’s kingdom-related. Now, since the game is constantly being updated, the way penalties work might change.
