As we all know, the remastered version of Diablo 2 has been released, and fans have started looking for Easter eggs that were previously included in the original Diablo 2. Of all these easter eggs, the most iconic one is definitely the Secret Cow level, and it has made its way to Diablo 2: Resurrected! The Secret Cow level is present at the end of your regular run of the game and gives you lots of high level loot like high runs, shako and more.
For information, let me tell you that in order to reach the secret level, you must first clear the game and then collect some elements to gain the ability to set up the portal so that you can enter the level. To do this you'll need to get your hands on the Wirt Leg and the Tome of Town portal and merge them into the Horadric Cube. Stay tuned as we get into a more detailed guide.
How to Enter The Secret Cow Level
Put on your War Traveller’s Boots and grab ahold of your finest weapons, we are on our hunt for the Cows. However, to get access to the Secret Cow Level, you first need to gather some things.
Find The Wirt’s Leg
To enter the Secret Cow Level you first need to get a few things. The Tome of town portal is easy to acquire as you can buy it from one of the Act’s magic vendors, so we will be focusing upon acquiring the Wirt’s leg.
To Wirt’s Leg can be acquired in Act 1 in an area called Tristram, however, you can’t enter there by traditional means. So to get to Tristram just follow this step by step guide,
- After you have banished Baal back to where he came from, return back to Rogue Encampment.
- Using the waypoint portal present at the Rogue Encampment, make your way to Stony Fields.
- After entering Stony Fields, just start walking parallely downwards till you come across the Cairn Stone.
- By making use of the Cairn Stone, you would be able to enter Tristram.
After finding yourself in Tristram, you would need to walk towards the top-left corner of the map and kill the Wirt there. After you have successfully bested your foe, take the Wirt’s Leg off of their body as a trophy for victory.
Open Up The Secret Cow Level
After you have all the necessary ingredients prepared, it is time to open up the secret level. Take the Wirt’s Leg and Tome of town portal, and place them inside the Horadric Cube. As soon as you press the Transmute button, a red portal will appear right beside you.
Congratulations you have accessed the Secret Cow Level. Now the only thing standing between you and high-tier loot is the click of a button.
