So let me tell you, both are in the frozen region of the Mountaintops of the Giants, to the north of the map. The painting itself is in Castle Sol. We begin from the Castle Sol Main Gate site of grace. Go into the castle through the gate and immediately go left, through the spiked barricades and up the stairs. Go right, the through the first door on the left. Climb up the long ladder straight in front of you. Follow the path straight ahead around the ramparts until you see a wooden bridge on your left. Cross it and climb the stairs to the upper level. There’s another ladder in this area, so climb down. You’ll now be in the same room as the painting. Interact with it to unlock the next step.

To the southwest of the castle is a bridge (exact location marked below; you can go to the Snow Valley Ruins Overlook site of grace first if you want).
