Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1 has come with a myriad of new content for players to explore. From the Myths of the Realm alliance raid to new main scenario quests, Chronicles of a New Era questline, and much more. One of the main new additions is the Crystalline Conflict PVP mode. This limited-time mode comes with a unique new in-game currency, called Trophy Crystal. In this guide, we will explain what are FFXIV Trophy Crystals, how to earn them, and what items you can buy with them.
How to Get Trophy Crystals in FFXIV
If you want to get some Trophy Crystals in it, you need to participate in the aforementioned Crystalline Conflict mode. Crystalline Conflict is a limited-time PvP mode, in which you can participate via the PvP menu. Find the mode and partake in battles. You’ll earn some Crystals simply for participating, but the better you are the more Trophy Crystals you’ll receive.
For information, let us tell you that PvP is a rank-based system, it’s not only about winning, you’ll also need to simply play a lot and grind ranks to earn more TC. Essentially, the more you play the more money in the bag you’ll secure. As we’ve already mentioned, this is a limited-time mode, so make sure to grind while it is available.
Where to Turn in Trophy Crystals in FFXIV
One important thing that you have to pay special attention to is that Final Fantasy 14 Trophy Crystals are inseparable from the Patch 6.1 and the Endwalker expansion. Being that they are exclusive to the latest content, the only way to spend them is at unique new vendors. The merchant where you can turn in TC is located at Wolves’ Den Pier. The selection of items you will be able to purchase is limited to content added with the 1.6 update. These are some of the items which you can obtain in exchange for Trophy Crystals:
- Protonaught Minion – 1,000 Trophy Crystals
- Wolf Barding – 1,000 Trophy Crystals
