Elden Ring is an Open-world Action Role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Normally, Renna will appear at the Church after you talk with Melina and get the Spectral Steed summoning ability.
Sometimes it happens to players that Renna simply doesn’t show up at the Church of Elleh even after they acquire the Spectral Steed. Fast travelling back and forth doesn’t work, and going back to the Church of Elleh during different times of day doesn’t work either. Currently, it seems that there is only one workaround that actually works. In order to trigger Renna to spawn at the Church of Elleh, you’ll need to let the Tree Sentinel kill you once.
If we talk about The Tree Sentinel, it's an extraordinarily bad early game boss that hangs around the road leading to the Church of Elleh. You must have already met this giant knight in his shining golden armor. Just let him kill you, and check out the church. Raina should now appear there, and you can proceed to obtain the Spirit Calling Bell item.
