The game features an anime-style open-world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. Genshin Impact has a range of colourful and exciting characters Travelers can interact with when exploring Teyvat or during events and quests. While a handful of characters would eventually join the playable roster of characters, the remaining few assist the Traveler in their journey to locating their sibling's location. Many were excited to know that an event-exclusive character, Liben, is rumoured to be returning to Genshin Impact in a Marvelous Merchandise event re-run. Furthermore, one leak suggests that there may be new information on the Sumeru region that is expected to be included during the event.

One such leak that has surfaced that has generated tremendous excitement is the Marvelous Merchandise event and the return of its colorful NPC Liben. A former businessman closely associated with Liu Qixing, Liben marvels at Tewwat with a Box o' Marvels that contains various rewards that you can earn by completing multiple requests.

As we have already told you that the Genshin Impact launched in September 2020 and since then this event has been shown four times, with its last appearance in the 2.3 update. According to a notable Genshin Impact source, Project Celestia, the Marvelous Merchandise event has appeared in the 2.7 beta, with Liben reportedly receiving more dialogue regarding the Sumeru region.

Project Celestia noted that while Liben will be making more references to Sumeru during his next appearance, he will also be teasing new locations within his dialogue. The leaker added that Qiaoying Village and Fontaine mentions are to be included.

Liben first mentioned Sumeru during the event's second re-run in January 2021, where he revealed to the Traveler that "the long travel distance to Sumeru notwithstanding". He later provided valuable information regarding the region's climate, saying that "Sumeru is all rainforest and desert".

Liben and the Marvelous Merchandise event returned in its third re-run in April 2021 with new information. Having made yet another journey to Sumeru, the merchant was quoted as "Sumeru has a whole tribe of experts dedicated to the protection of merchants like myself. There are a lot of rules to observe, but safety is not an issue."

Whether the issue of safety could play into how Travelers will be able to explore the region is an exciting piece of information as we uncover more about this new location. In the last event re-run, Liben had some business dealings with a researcher by helping in introducing a card game from Sumeru to citizens of Inazuma, and things didn't end well.

Liben's impending return to Genshin Impact may be another example of how the developer actively listens to their community. Since we're excited to learn of the Marvelous Merchandise event re-run, some players stated that the 2.7 update might be "the best patch so far", thanks to Liben.
