How to Fix Screen Tearing in Elden Ring

If you want to fix screen burst in Elden Ring, the first thing you should try is to play in borderless window mode. Looks like it helps a lot. Also, be sure to update your graphics drivers; This appears to be one of the possible causes of screen bursting and other visual problems. Another thing that seems to completely eradicate the problem is turning on V-Sync. Judging by the folks on Reddit, this has solved the problem for many of them. Here's how to do it.

Players with Nvidia Card First open the Nvidia Control Panel. Under the 3D Settings tab on the left, select Manage 3D Settings. If you want to enable V-Sync across the board, click the Global Settings tab and scroll down to Vertical Sync and change it to Use the 3D Application setting. If you only want to enable it for Elden Ring, click the Program Settings tab and select Elden Ring from the list. You may need to add it to the list manually. Next, to fix Elden Ring screen tearing, after selecting Elden Ring from the list, find Vertical Sync and either turn it on or use the 3D application setting.

And players with AMD GPUs should note that they first go into the AMD Radeon software and click on the Settings button (aka the little cog wheel in the top right). Go into the Graphics tab, then scroll down to the Weight for vertical refresh option. Change it to Off, unless the application specifies. That should take care of the screen tearing problem.
