Elden Ring is an Open-world Action Role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, was created in collaboration with fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin, who provided material for the game's setting. Recently Elden Ring has been released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Elden Ring’s Boc the Seamster, a monkey-like humanoid, is one of the more interesting NPCs in the game. Many players are not sure where to find him, as Boc often changes his location. During this questline, you’ll be presented with choices to give him some items, like the Gold Sewing Needle or a Larval Tear. What are the rewards and consequences of these choices? In this article, we’ll guide you through the complete Boc the Seamster questline. Invisible Man in a Bush Elden Ring
Elden Ring Boc The Seamster Location – Oi You There Invisible Man in a Bush
For the first time you will meet Boc the Seamster Gatefront near Ruins in Limgrave region. This first contact with him will have many players confused as they will hear someone yelling “Oi, You There!”, but there will be no person to accompany that voice. Upon closer inspection, you notice that the voice is coming from a bush. This Elden Ring talking tree is actually our invisible man in the bush – Boc the Seamster.
Attack the bush after you've completed all of the instructions above, and you’ll break the spell. That will turn the bush and the Invisible Man into Boc the Seamster. He’ll explain how he was thrown out from his cave, and then he’ll go back there to find something with which he can repay you for freeing him. The cave in question is called Coastal Cave, which is just southwest of the Church of Elleh. Just go down the shore, and you’ll find a cave entrance in the cliff. Enter inside, and you’ll find Boc lying beaten near a Site of Grace.
Give the Sewing Needle to Boc or Not Elden Ring
One thing you need to pay special attention to in this game is that inside the coastal cave, Boc the Seamster will warn you that “they” will beat you too, and tell you to leave. But you are the Tarnished, and not afraid of this puny Demi-Human Chief whom you’ll need to defeat at the end of the cave. Upon beating him, you will receive a Sewing Needle and Tailoring Tools. The Tailoring Tools will unlock an option to perform armour adjustment at Sites of Grace.
Having done all this, the time has come when you will be given a choice – should you give the Sewing Needle to Boc or not? The only real choice here is to give the Needle to Boc. You’ll get absolutely nothing from keeping it. But, if you give Boc the Sewing Needle, he’ll tell you about his mum and how he always wanted to become a seamster like her. This will rekindle his will to live and the next time you find him, he’ll offer you his services for free.
Elden Ring Boc the Seamster Location One
Yes, you got it right, Coastal Cave isn't the last time you'll meet Boc the Seamster. Next, he will offer to serve you as your personal seamster. For this to happen, travel to the Lake-Facing Cliffs in the Liurnia of the Lakes region. Next, find the Lake-Facing Site of Grace and use the Site, upon which our friend Boc the Seamster will appear. He’ll be in a visibly better mood as he has found a new purpose in life. Talk with him and accept his service. From now on, he’ll change your armour appearance for free (instead of 500 Runes).
Gold Sewing Needle Location and Use
Yes, now that you've arrived in Liurnia in the Lakes region, it's time to grab the gold sewing needle item. The Gold Sewing Needle is located in the Church of Vows. The Church of Vows is situated in eastern Liurnia, just northwest of the Artist’s Shack. See our map below for the exact location. Once inside, you’ll see a chest on the right from the central statue. Open the chest and you’ll find the Gold Sewing Needle and Gold Tailoring Tools.
Now's the time you can put the gold sewing needle back in Boc and he'll be able to replace the Boss armour for free, too. The only condition here is that you have purchased at least one famous Boss armour piece from finger reader Enya on the first roundtable hold.
Elden Ring Boc the Seamster Location Two
Now slowly you will progress through the game, with it as Boc. Once he becomes your personal seamster, Boc will change his location several times during the course of the game. After leaving the lake-facing Site of Grace, he can be found by the East Raya Lucaria Gate Site of Grace. Follow the Bellum Highway to the south and you’ll eventually reach it.
Elden Ring Boc the Seamster Location Three
One thing you should keep in mind is that when you first enter the Altus Plateau region, Boc will move with you there. You will be able to find him by the Altus Highway Junction site of grace. Just like with the previous two locations, he will appear once you first rest here. Check out the map below for the exact location.
Elden Ring Boc the Seamster Give Larval Tear or Not
Now you have come to the final stage of the game, when you reach Leyndell Royal Capital, your loyal sewer will be there. He will appear near the East Capital Rampart site of grace once you first use that site of grace for rest. As always, check out our map below for the exact location. He will set up a shop there, and you’ll have some new dialogue options. You’ll receive the “My Lord” gesture if you permit him to call you lord. At one point, you’ll get an option to give him a Larval Tear.
For information, let us tell you that if you give him a Larval Tear, he’ll move to the Grand Library of Raya Lucaria. You’ll have access here once you defeat Rennala. Rennala will allow you to respec with Larval Tears, which is called “rebirth” in the game. And that’s exactly what Boc will do with his Larval Tear. He will be reborn as a human. Once you rest at a site of grace here, he will die, thus ending the Boc questline.
