Dying Light 2 Health vs Stamina: What to Upgrade

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a 2022 action role-playing game developed and published by Techland. The sequel to Dying Light (2015), the game was released on February 4, 2022 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Nintendo Switch version for the cloud is currently in development. Its always pushing the player to decide whether to make a run for it or stand your ground and fight meaning Stamina vs Health. Depending on what skills you have invested in the decision will be accordingly. So let’s take a look at what should be the focus for the player.

Here's what you should keep in mind that investing in health or stamina will have a huge impact on how you approach each position in the game. You can either be an acrobat and smartly pull out of difficult situations or you can be a beast and fight to your death.

Health vs Stamina

Combat or Parkour Skill Tree

Depending on what you choose to focus on, health or stamina, the skill trees will open accordingly. Meaning, if you invest in stamina the parkour skill tree will be unlocked more quickly i.e. parkour advanced skills will be available to the player more quickly. Because if you invest in health the combat skill tree will open quickly.

How to Increase Health or Stamina?

Health or Stamina is upgraded by finding a unique item in the game The Inhibitor. When the player finds this they are presented with an option to Either upgrade Health or Stamina, only one can be upgraded at a time.

What to Upgrade? Stamina or Health

With the game's focus on traversing this wasteland, my recommendation would be to focus on stamina in the beginning. You will be running around the map and the more stamina and parkour skills you have, the easier it will be for you to explore. Improved parkour skills like wallrun and tic tac will let you get out of sticky situations instead of becoming a fish in a barrel.

Stamina is the backbone of the parkour skills you execute and swing your weapon as many times as you can. Hairy situations like chasing can be carried out easily once you have enough stamina and if you will be able to swing your arms like crazy instead of tiring like an old man.

Health has its benefits as it can unlock some super moves to get rid of your enemies and how much damage you can do. Fitness is recommended if you're playing at a higher difficulty level and it's getting harder to run without the undead. However, if you are running out of air due to low stamina and low weapon swings you will not be able to stand your ground properly.
