Destiny 2 The Witch Queen Bugs, Known Issues and Workarounds

Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was originally released as a pay to play game in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It became free-to-play, utilizing the games as a service model, under the New Light title on October 1, 2019, followed by the game's release on Stadia the following month, and then PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms in December 2020. The game was published by Activision until December 31, 2018, when Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. It is the sequel to 2014's Destiny and its subsequent expansions. The newest expansion of Destiny 2 was just released and – despite being well-optimized – it has a fair share of bugs, crashes, and issues that the developers have been made aware of. Thankfully, the devs are hard at work to fix all of these issues. The good part is that there aren’t that many bugs to start with.

I regret to inform that there is no fixed date, the following issues have been noted and accepted by the developers and they are working hard to fix them. If you want to take a look at the list of all the errors and problems that will be fixed in the coming updates, you can find them below.

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen Known Issues and Workarounds

Here’s a list of all the official known issues currently present in the game. If you are facing any other bug or crashing in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, please let us know in the comments and we’ll add it here! Hopefully, these will be picked up by the developers and will be fixed.

When starting the PsiOps Battlegrounds playlist, players will notice that the recommended Power Level does not show. The reason for this is unknown but the developers have taken note of this issue. If you are curious, the current level for this playlist is 1500.

Overload Artifact Issues

If you are using the Overload Artifact on auto rifles and SMGs, you’ll see that they do not successfully disrupt the health regeneration of Overload Champions after they are stunned. This seems to be quite a common issue as most players are facing it. Worry not because it will be solved in an upcoming hotfix.

FPS Drops on Xbox

Some players have reported that the yare facing FPS drops when they open the inventory screen. However, the circumstances seem to be quite specific. If your inventory is full and you open it, your FPS will drop. What’s weird is that this only seems to be happening on the Xbox consoles.

Missing Icons for Buffs and Debuffs

This seems to be a common bug that most players are facing. While this isn’t exactly game-breaking, it does cause a problem for the person playing. The exact reason is not known yet but the developers are well aware of it and are working hard to fix it.

Kill Tracker Not Working As Intended

If you kill enemies using the Glaive, it will not count in the kill tracker for some reason. On top of that, enemies that have the Volatile debuff are also not counting in the bounty progress. This can be problematic since you don’t know when this bug happens. However, it will be fixed in an upcoming hotfix.
