But the burning question remains, is it even possible to encounter a shiny Helioptile in the game? Keep playing and who knows, the game developers might surprise us with the addition of a shiny version in the future.
Can Helioptile Be Shiny in Pokemon GO
Get ready for an electrifying catch with the arrival of the Crackling Voltage Event on January 27th 2023 in Pokemon GO! Players will finally have the chance to catch the much-anticipated shiny Helioptile. Although rare, this special version of the adorable Pokemon adds a new level of excitement to the game.
Previously, players were disappointed to learn that Helioptile and its evolution, Heliolisk, could not be caught as shiny in Pokemon GO. However, during the Festival of Light, taking place from October 14th to 17th, players can increase their chances of encountering a Helioptile in the wild. Along with Chinchou, Dedenne and the debutante Morelull, Helioptile will be spawning more frequently during this event.
While the shiny Helioptile is not currently available in Pokemon GO, players can still farm for regular Helioptile and evolve it into a Heliolisk by using a Sun Stone and fifty Candies. It's worth noting that Helioptile does have a shiny version in other Pokemon games, with a red body instead of yellow. Keep an eye out for this rare version in the future, and we'll be sure to update our guide if it becomes available in Pokemon GO
