Are you looking for a way to emote in MultiVersus, if yes then you have come to the right place. For one, there's no emote button anywhere in the game. If you manage to cross that obstacle, you're still not out of the woods. Why? Because MultiVersus does a terrible job of recording emotions. In this guide, we'll try to help you meet the emotional challenge.
How to Emote in MultiVersus
First of all we want to give you a warning. Expressions are actually surprisingly buggy. If you're trying to complete this particular challenge, we highly recommend that you do the emotes at the very top of the match. The game has a lot of trouble registering them at any other point, especially at the end, where it just flat-out refuses to notice you did an emote. Some characters have it worse than others, too; Steven Universe is particularly rough (but more about that in a different guide). To make things worse, even if you do it at the beginning of a round, or the match, it still might not work properly. The only potential fix we know of is doing a fresh install of MultiVersus. If you have a better solution, let us know in the comments.
So let's talk about how to emote in MultiVersus. As I have already told you that there is no emote command in the game. That’s because you’re actually supposed to do a taunt. They really could have worded the challenge a bit better to avoid the confusion, but it is what it is. Every character has a default taunt that you can use, and the default button for it is up on the d-pad or “T” or “1” on the keyboard. So, yeah, that’s how you do a MultiVersus emote. You can unlock and add more taunts, and their default buttons are the other d-pad directions, or the numbers 2, 3 and 4 on the keyboard. Be advised that some taunts register more easily than others.
