As I told you in my last article, Warzone Season 3 Classified Arms is out and the patch notes are here! The game's developer Raven Software has revealed all the changes, improvements and new additions in the new season. This time around there are a lot of weapon balance changes across all weapon classes, both buffs and nerfs. One class that has been particularly hit with a nerf hammer in Season 3 is the sniper rifles and their one-shot abilities. Warzone Sniper One-Shot Changes Season 3
According to Raven Software these changes are intended to bring more diversity to the sniper meta. The main goal behind the changes is to reduce the effect of one-shots, as they feel that playing a sniper too much spin can cause a rapid click to the head. To fix this, they are introducing damage range.
“As mentioned above Snipers may now use damage ranges as a defining characteristic of their one-shot potential,” reads the patch notes. “This not only brings more identity to each weapon but means Attachments that provide the lighter and quicker sniper rifles with the Damage Range stat will increase their ability to one-shot at increased distances.”
In accordance with these changes, you will now be able to one-shot to the head only at a specific range based on a sniper you wielding. Check out the full list of Sniper one-shot changes in Warzone Season 3 below:
Warzone Sniper Season 3 One-Shot Nerfs
- The following Weapons will one-shot to the head only while inside of their Max Damage Range:
- Kar98 (MW)
- SP-R 208 (MW)
- Pelington 703 (BOCW)
- Swiss K31 (BOCW)
- Type 99 (VG)
- Kar98k (VG)
- The following Weapons will one-shot to the head at any Range:
- HDR (MW)
- AX-50 (MW)
- ZRG 20mm (BOCW)
- 3-Line Rifle (VG)
- Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle (VG)
- The following Weapons do not have one-shot potential to the head:
- Rytec AMR (MW)
- Dragunov (MW)
- M82 (BOCW)
