Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. The game released to largely positive reception; critics praised the game for its solid mechanics and progression, and they commended Yoshida for turning the project around. After a poor 2013 fiscal year, Square Enix executives attributed the company's 2014 return to profitability in part to the game's strong sales and subscriber base, reaching a total of over 24 million registered players by October 2021, also becoming the most profitable Final Fantasy game to date. The game has had a number of post-release updates produced for it, including four major expansion packs: Heavensward (2015), Stormblood (2017), Shadowbringers (2019), and Endwalker (2021). Being that both Final Fantasy XIV and NieR Automata are published by Square Enix, the publisher loves to surprise fans of both games with some cross-promotional content. Since the Shadowbringers expansion, released back in July 2019, we’ve seen several NieR Automata-themed gear, minions, and other cosmetics in Final Fantasy XIV. How to Get FFXIV Pod 602 Mount
The first thing you need to do to get to Pod 602 Mount is head to The Gold Saucer. But first, make sure to have enough Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP). You’ll need to have at least 300,000 MGP for the mount. In order to claim your reward, you’ll need to speak with an NPC named Gold Saucer Attendant The exact coordinates where you can find this NPC are X: 5.2, Y: 6.6 at the Gold Saucer.
Speak to the Gold Saucer attendant immediately after you find them and select the Prize Exchange III option. You need to find the pod 602 identification key here. Buy the key for 300,000 mpg. Now find it in your list and activate it. And that’s it, now you own the Pod 602 mount!
One important thing you need to know is that if the Pod 602 Identification Key is not available when you try to buy it from the Gold Saucer Attendant, that’s most likely because you haven’t met the pre-requirements. What you need to do is to finish the NieR Automata quest in FFXVI. The NieR questline is called YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse. There are several quests here that you need to finish before being able to purchase the Pod 602 Identification Key. To start this questline, talk with the Gossipy Dwarf in Komra. This will trigger the A Scandal in Komra level 80 quest and the NieR questline. And that’s about all you need to know. Have fun with your new floating mount!
