It introduces a slew of new stuff like brand new advancements. Since this is a major update, the first part - version 1.17 - was released sometime back and the second part is finally coming. This guide will list all progress and show you how to get all new progress in Minecraft Update 1.18.
For information, let us tell you that you can unlock these progressions only in the Java version of Minecraft. In addition to new advancements, there are new caves and mountain biomes. Get All Advancements in Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update
The feature of Minecraft Update 1.18 is that it introduces a total of four new advancements. Since this update focuses on caves and rocks, these advancements are all related to them. Some of these can be considered difficult to unlock but don't worry because we will also show you how to unlocking all of these advancements in this article.
Caves and Cliffs
As the name suggests, this update is the first to be introduced in the form of the Caves and Cliffs advancement. To unlock it, you have to jump from the maximum height (build limit) and fall to the bottom without dying. It's a little hard to see but we'll show you a few ways you can accomplish this.
As far as my experience goes, the best way to do this is to jump from the maximum height with a bucket of water in hand. Just before hitting the ground, you have to use the bucket of water and break your fall. Using a bucket spreads a section of water that will prevent you from dying when you hit the ground. It may take some practice to get used to doing this trick. If you are a new player, don't give up and keep trying.
Feels Like Home
If you want to unlock this advancement you have to ride Strider on Love for at least fifty blocks. If you want to ride a strider, you must first put a saddle on it. After putting a saddle on, mount it and hold a deformed fungus on a stick. The strider will move in the direction you hold the stick. Just do this for fifty blocks on the lava and this progression will be unlocked.
Sound of Music
If we talk about all the four advancement, then the sound of music is probably the easiest advancement to unlock out of these four. To unlock it, you have to play Jukebox in the meadows. To do this, grab a disc and put it inside the jukebox while you're at the top of the meadow biome. If you're not sure what a biome looks like, don't worry, we'll explain it to you.
For information, let us tell you that in the biome of the grassland, there are green blocks and many beautiful flowers around you. It is a kind of mountainous area which also has mountains. Note that before this you have to complete the Sweet Dreams progression. To make Sweet Dreams come true, just sleep on a bed and you'll get it.
Star Trader
If you do not know about this, then you may have to face trouble in unlocking this last advancement. To unlock it first, you'll need to trade with a village with an altitude limit. We recommend building a ladder up to the height limit and slowly pushing the villager from behind. In the end, both of you will reach the top. At that point, trade with the villager to unlock this progression.
