Age Of Empires 4 Known Issues

As we told you in the previous post that Age of Empires 4 has recently been released on PC and Xbox, but like all other games this game too the experience has not been very good for many players, in which Many issues are coming to the fore. The game was released on PC and Xbox last month and it has faced several bugs which has led to a disappointing gaming experience for many players.

This could also be because within a few days that the game has gone live, many people have come across issues that persist even after the initial testing and patching phase. Although some of these bugs have been fixed, there are many that still affect the game. We've put together a list of all known issues in the game to help players identify them and, if possible, allow them to avoid these bugs.

Changes in the terrain through the Fog of War

At times, you may be able to see changes in the terrain through the Fog of War, as a few terrain and topographical items are being worked on.

Pause when pressing “Save”

Occasionally, users may see a small pause when pressing “Save” if they have a large number of save files stored. Users with a large number of Campaign and Skirmish save files may notice a slight slowdown when pressing “Save” on subsequent uses.

Performance drops when panning the camera across the map

You may notice performance drops when panning the camera across the map, as the game loads in the required textural terrain. Based on input from internal testing, our technical stress tests, and community feedback, this performance drop when panning the camera should quickly correct itself and should not significantly impact gameplay. We have a fix coming for this.

Mastery progress is not tracked across saves

Mastery progress is not tracked across saves, meaning you cannot partially complete a Mastery, save, load, and then unlock the Mastery.

Part Of The Game

Sometimes things can seem like an issue that is actually a part of the game’s design. Here are some of those unique “issues” with the reasoning as to why they are the way they are. This does not mean they cannot be changed, but that they should be treated as a discussion rather than a bug.

Build menu differences between Campaign and Multiplayer/Skirmish game modes
This is intended. This separation allows teams to tailor the best player experience for each game mode.
