You'll be glad to know that Sony's next State of Play event could happen on August 19, according to Future Games Show producer James Jarvis. Earlier, rumors were swirling on social media about an event scheduled for August 12, with insider Roberto Serrano saying the event has been extended to September.

The program will be announced today itself, July 10. Many things will be taken care of in the event. First, we'll get official confirmation about the delay of Horizon Forbidden West, which was leaked earlier. James said

There will also be an update on Gran Turismo, which according to the rumors is likely to be an announcement regarding the public beta. In fact, the PlayStation Experience website already allows players to sign up for the event, although they only get a dummy code.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which was initially slated for release in 2020, and has been delayed twice, may also get an extended look. The game is all set to release on September 21.

Lastly, and perhaps most interestingly, we may get a surprise announcement from Sony at the event. We're not sure what this announcement is all about, but there could be something exciting for Sony fans.
